Ethically Made Clothing

Being transparent about our manufacturing process and locations is important to us. We want you to feel good about wearing our clothes and using our products knowing they’re ethically and responsibly made. so here’s everything you need to know about how our clothes and products are made.

CLOTHING

It’s our priority that everyone who works for us does so in a safe environment where they are ethically-treated. That’s why most of our clothes are made in Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) certified factories.

WRAP is a globally recognized, independent third-party certifying body whose mission is to promote ethical, humane, and lawful conditions and practices in all manufacturing facilities.

Companies accepted into the WRAP organization go through an extensive application process in which manufacturing facilities, working environments, and workers’ rights are inspected and approved by the WRAP association. WRAP certifications are awarded based upon both internationally and nationally accepted humane workplace standards, local laws, and ethical manufacturing regulations.

ACCESSORIES

Our accessories are not WRAP certified, but they are ethically made by manufacturers with strong corporate, social, and environmental responsibility programs. This includes commitments to sweatshop-free manufacturing, competitive wages, employee health benefits, community investment, and sustainable practices.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

We’re doing our part to protect our planet by minimizing the impact of our shipping and manufacturing processes. We do that by:

Using water-based ink

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE OF USING WATER-BASED INK?

Screen printing is typically done with either plastisol or water-based ink. As is implied by their name, plastisol inks are plastic-based. This means they contain dangerous chemicals like PVCs and phthalates, which can cause health issues and are harmful to the environment.

Water-based inks are environmentally friendly and do not contain such chemicals, making it safer for humans.

Unlike plastisols, water-based inks soak into fabrics, they move and stretch with garments and won’t crack with wear, resulting in a better final product.

ALWAYS IMPROVING

While we are proud of our current ethical and environmentally friendly manufacturing practices, we plan to do even better. Our goal for 2021 is to make 80 percent of our products using organic or recycled materials.
